SPOKANE CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER LEASE AND OPTION AGREEMENTS THAT CONTEMPLATE THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY (JOE ALBI STADIUM) (Proposed Resolution 2013-0061) The Spokane City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, August 5, 2013, in the Council Chambers, Lower Level of City Hall, 808 West Spokane Falls Blvd., during the City Council Legislative Session, starting at 6:00 p.m., regarding a proposal to surplus Joe Albi Stadium, also known as parcel 3, consisting of approximately 46 acres of real property (the "Property"). At the hearing, the City Council will consider a proposal to lease the Property to Spokane Public Schools and to also grant Spokane Public Schools and option to purchase the Property. The proposed lease and option agreements as well as a map of the Property may be obtained by contacting the City Clerk's Office at clerks@spokanecity.org or (509) 625-6350. Spokane Public Schools plans to continue to use the Property as a high school football stadium and other similar uses. Public testimony will be taken at the hearing. The public comment period for written comments will be held open until the end of the public hearing. The City Council reserves the right to continue this public hearing.
