NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC OF INTENT TO REQUEST RELEASE OF FUNDS DATE: March 27, 2014 City of Millwood 9103 E Fredrick, Millwood, WA 99206 509/924-0960 TO ALL INTERESTED AGENCIES, GROUPS AND PERSONS On or about April 27, 2014, the City of Millwood will request the State of Washington Department of Health and Department of Commerce to release funds under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, National Environmental Policy Act, and Washington State Environmental Policy Act. The City of Millwood will undertake the project described below utilizing Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Loans. A Determination of No Historic Properties Affected was issued for this project, but the Spokane Tribe of Indians requested tribal monitoring on all excavation activity. A copy of the Project Review Sheet for Section 106 is on file at the above address and is available for public examination and copying upon request. It is also the finding of Spokane County that the following activities are Categorically Excluded under the National Environmental Policy Act, as explained under U.S. Environ-mental Protection Agency regulations 40 CFR Chapter 1 (7-1-97 Edition) 6.107 and Categorical Exempted under the Washington State Environmental Policy Act (RCW 43.21C.110 and WAC 197.11.800). A copy of the categorically excluded/exemption is on file at the above address and is available for public examination and copying upon request. Project Information: Buckeye Avenue Waterline Improvements The project includes: The purpose of this project is to eliminate existing deteriorated and leaking water mains and dead end lines. The project consists of the replacement of approximately 2,400 lineal feet of 6" and 8" cast iron pipe with new 8" PVC waterline including a new 8" system loop approximately 400 feet in length. (Purpose and Nature of Project) Spokane County at Township 25N, Range 44E, and Section 7 (Location of Project) $450,000.00 (Estimated Cost of the Project) Objections of the project may be submitted to the Office of Drinking Water Director, Clark Halvorson, Department of Health, P.O. Box 47822, Olympia, Washington 98504-7822. Any objections received after April 26, 3014 will not be considered by the Department of Health. SR27566
