STATE OF WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE CAPITAL AND ASSET MANAGEMENT PROGRAM REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS Project Name: Wooten Wildlife Area Floodplain Improvements Project Location: Tucannon River Road, Dayton, WA 99328 SOQ's are DUE by: May 16, 2014, 5:00 PM The Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is requesting "Statement of Qualifications" (SOQ) from Architectural and Engineering (A/E) firms to provide a Feasibility Study (focused on Tucannon Lakes and Wildlife Area); and design and permitting services to renovate the floodplain in the Wooten Wildlife Area to improve spawning and rearing habitat for Endangered Species Act (ESA) listed fish, protect private and public property, and to improve recreational fishing opportunities. It is anticipated that the Firm selected to perform this work, will have previous experience of developing, designing, and implementing projects, which shall include: lakes and streams restoration, evaluation of dams and levees, water supply and water right evaluation, rereational access, roads, water crossings, hatchery facility function, habitat enhancement and public outreach. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The W.T. Wooten Wildlife Area covers approximately 16,000 acres in Columbia and Garfield counties and features eight (8) lakes located along the Tucannon River. WDFW would like to design, improve and enhance recreation, reduce impacts to ESA listed species, and improve stream and floodplain function for Tucannon River, as described in the W.T. Wooten Floodplain Management Plan. This project consists of multiple phases through multiple years. The W.T.
