NO. 14-0371 BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON P R E L I M I N A R Y R E S O L U T I ON IN THE MATTER CONCERNING SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS TO VARIOUS SPOKANE COUNTY FUNDS/DEPARTMENT BUDGETS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners pursuant to Section 36.40.100 RCW, may after duly noticed public hearing authorize supplemental appropriations to the budget; and WHEREAS, Spokane County Elected Officials and/or Directors of Spokane County Departments have submitted a request for a supplemental appropriation along with the facts constituting the source of funds; and WHEREAS, the Chief Executive Officer has reviewed these budget requests and has forwarded the following submitted requests to the Board of County Commissioners with a recommendation for approval: a. Substance Abuse Fund #145 - $90,797 (145-612FR14): Federal grant to provide substance abuse treatment. b.Substance Abuse Fund #145 - $350,000 (145-612FR16): Federal grant to provide substance abuse treatment. c.Substance Abuse Fund #145 - $320,000 (145-612SR12): State grant to provide substance abuse treatment. d.Substance Abuse Fund #145 - $1,300,000 (145-612SR13): State grant to provide substance abuse treatment. e.Substance Abuse Fund #145 - $153,000 (145-612SR09): State grant to provide substance abuse treatment. f.Juvenile - $189,417 (010-200C117): State contract to expand evidence based treatment and training programs. g. Juvenile - $592,882 (010-200C118/119/120): State contract for consolidated juvenile services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. on said day in the Spokane County Public Works Building, 1026 W. Broadway, Spokane, WA 99260, be and the same are hereby fixed as the time and place any taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the appropriation of the money for the purposes set forth and contained in this resolution. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution and this notice be published in the county's legal newspaper. ALL MEETINGS AND HEARINGS will be conducted in facilities that are accessible to all members of the public. Additional information with regard to the accessibility of the Public Works Building, Commissioners' Assembly Room, or notification of an ADA accommodation should be made to Daniela Erickson, Clerk of the Board, at (509) 477-2265.
