SPOKANE SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 81 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON DESIRE AND INTENT TO TRANSFER KSPS-TV TO FRIENDS OF KSPS The Board of Directors of Spokane School District No. 81 ("District") deems it in the District's best interest to transfer KSPS-TV to Friends of KSPS and thus desires and intends to do so. The Board has scheduled a public hearing regarding its desire and intention to transfer KSPS-TV to Friends of KSPS. The public hearing shall be held on April 10, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the boardrooms of the District Administration Building located at 200 North Bernard Street, Spokane, WA 99201. At that time, the Board will receive input and comments for and against the propriety and advisability of the following matters related to the transfer of KSPS-TV to Friends of KSPS: 1.The District's desire and intent to transfer the KSPS license and equipment to Friends of KSPS; 2.The District's desire and intent to purchase the interest of the Friends of KSPS in the KSPS building; 3.The District's desire and intent to lease to Friends the KSPS building in exchange for providing the District with annual production/broad- casting services and other services by KSPS (such as work based learning opportunities for students) so that Friends can continue to broadcast public television via the KSPS license.
