CITY OF DEER PARK STORAGE LAGOON LINER REPLACEMENT PROJECT SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON NOTICE OF CALL FOR BIDS Sealed bids for the construction of the City of Deer Park Storage Lagoon Liner Replacement Project, will be received at the Deer Park City Hall, 316 E Crawford, Deer Park, WA 99006, until 10:00 A.M., September 10, 2014, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The project generally consists of the removal of the existing storage lagoon liners and replacement with a double HDPE liner with leak detection. The project also includes replacement of existing piping and valving, construction of new flow control structure, the replacement of existing structures with a new control building and associated electrical and miscellaneous work. Complete plans, specifications, and special instructions may be obtained for a non-refundable fee of $100.00 per set at the office of J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc., 422 W. Riverside Ave., Suite 304, Spokane, WA 99201. Informational copies of the plans and specifications are on file for inspection at the office of J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc., the City of Deer Park City Hall and area plan centers. All bids must be sealed and plainly marked " SEALED BID FOR CITY OF DEER PARK STORAGE LAGOON LINER REPLACEMENT PROJECT, TO BE OPENED ON OR AFTER 10:00 A.M. ON SEPTEMBER 10, 2014 " All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashiers check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Only properly executed proposals submitted on the forms furnished by the City of Deer Park will be accepted. All bidders are required to submit a list of subcontractors that will perform work on the project amounting to ten percent (10%) or more of the contract amount. A tabulation of the bids received, together with the recommendation of the Mayor, will be presented to the City Council at the first available regularly scheduled meeting. The City Council reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or waive any defects therein. A pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 A.M. on August 27, 2014 at the Deer Park City Hall, 316 E Crawford, Deer Park, WA 99006. It is anticipated that this project will be funded in part by the Washington State Clean Water Pollution Control Revolving Fund and Green Project Reserve funds, administered by the Washington State Department of Ecology. Neither the State of Washington nor any of its Departments or Employees are, or shall be, a party to any contract or any subcontract resulting from this solicitation for bids.
