ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT BID #14-052 Argonne Road Corridor Upgrades Notice is hereby given that the City of Spokane Valley, Spokane County, Washington will accept sealed bids for the Argonne Road Corridor Upgrades . The project consists of an upgraded traffic signal at Knox Ave, widening for a northbound right turn pocket at Montgomery Ave, traffic signal modifications at Montgomery Ave, new fiber optic interconnect from I-90 to Trent Ave and a new CCTV camera pole and associated CCTV hardware at Trent Ave. Copies of the bid packet including specifications and plans may be obtained in PDF format by downloading from the Spokane Valley FTP site. If a potential bidder is unable to reproduce the packet from the FTP site, a hard copy with half-size plans may be obtained from the City for a non-refundable fee of $50. Any addenda to this project will be sent only to those on the Planholder's list. All bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a surety bond, postal money order, cash, cashier's check, or certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid proposed. Failure to furnish a bid bond in compliance with the City's bid deposit surety bond form shall make the bid non-responsive and cause the bid to be rejected. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes addressed to the City Clerk of the City of Spokane Valley, 11707 E. Sprague Avenue, Suite 106, Spokane Valley, Washington, 99206, and received not later than 10:00 a.m. PST , December 5th, 2014 . Bid openings will be held immediately thereafter and read aloud in the City Council Chambers, Suite 101. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-bid conference that will be held on November 18, 2014 at 9:00AM at Spokane Valley City Hall.
