UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO INTEGRATED RESEARCH & INNOVATION CENTER (IRIC) MOSCOW, IDAHO BID PACKAGE: #3 - MAIN BUILDING PACKAGE PRE-BID MEETING: JANUARY 7, 2015 2:00 P.M. BIDS DUE: JANUARY 20, 2015 2:00 P.M. REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Hoffman Construction Company, Construction Manager/General Contractor ("CM/GC") for the University of Idaho, Integrated Research & Innovation Center ("Project") being performed for The Regents of the University of Idaho ("Owner") requests sub-bid proposals for Bid Package #3 - Main Building Packge. Project includes a 70,000 square foot, 4-story structure that is located on the campus of the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. The building will house research laboratories, enclosed offices, open office areas, conference rooms and building support. Except as noted below, sub-bid proposals are requested for all areas of work including, but not limited to the following: precast concrete and masonry; misc. metals; architectural woodwork; hot fluid-applied waterproofing; traffic coatings; drywall, ceilings, insulation and weather barriers; roofing; sheet metal and metal panels; fireproofing; doors, frames and hardware; overhead, coiling and special doors; aluminum entrances and glazing; tiling; polished concrete flooring; floor coverings; access flooring; painting and water repellents; specialties; equipment; furnish-ings; fire suppression; plumbing and mechanical; electrical, communications and security; asphalt paving; site concrete; and landscaping. The following work has been previously awarded and is NOT included in the bid package: earthwork and site utilities; aggregate piers; structural concrete; structural steel; bentonite and crystalline waterproofing; elevators; under-ground plumbing/mechanical; and underground electrical. A non-mandatory, but strongly encouraged, pre-bid meeting and site visit has been scheduled for 2:00 p.m., January 7, 2015. Attendees are to meet at University of Idaho, Architectural and Engineering Services, 875 Perimeter Drive, MS 2281, Moscow, Idaho. All bidders are encouraged to attend in order to acquaint themselves with the local conditions under which the work is to be performed and to correlate personal observations with the requirements of the contract documents. Bidders submitting a proposal that includes installation must be properly registered in accordance with the Idaho Contractor Registration Act at the time of bid. PROPOSALS MUST UTILIZE THE SPECIFIED PROPOSAL FORM and be delivered, faxed or emailed to arrive at Hoffman Construction Company, 805 SW Broadway, Suite 2100, Portland, Oregon 97205, Bid Fax 503/221-8888, Email BIDS@Hoffmancorp.com, no later than 2:00 p.m., January 20, 2015 . Proposals must include Contractor's Affidavit Concerning Alcohol and Drug-Free Workplace and Contractor's Affidavit Concerning Taxes . A completed Subcontractor/Vendor Question-naire including latest year-end safety and financial information must accompany the proposal unless previously submitted. Elaborate proposals or the inclusion of non-essential information e.g. marketing/pro-motional material, safety manuals, resumes, etc. is strongly discouraged. Proposals that are materially incomplete, directed to other locations or received after the bid deadline will not be considered. Proposals must be clearly labeled: "Bid Package: #3 - Main Building Package, UI Integrated Research & Innovation Center" and include Bidder's name and address. There will NOT be a public opening of proposals. Refer to proposal documents for complete proposal requirements and additional information.
