Town of Latah Main Street Reconstruction Project SR-27 to Anderson Street 6-E-896(002)-1 NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Latah, will open sealed proposals and publicly read them aloud on or after 10:00 A.M. on March 28, 2013, at the City Hall in Latah Washington for the Main Street Reconstruction Project. This contract provides for the improvement of Main Street between SR-27 and the vicinity of Anderson Street, by full depth reclamation of the existing road surface, grading, draining, surfacing, construction of curbs, sidewalks and driveways, and other work, all in accordance with the Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. SEALED BIDS MUST BE DELIVERED BEFORE 10:00 A.M. Sealed proposals must be delivered to the Town of Latah (108 E. Market Street, P.O. Box 130, Latah WA 99018) by 10:00 A.M. on the date specified for opening, and in an envelope clearly marked "SEALED BID FOR MAIN STREET RECONSTRUCTION, TO BE OPENED ON OR AFTER 10:00 A.M. ON March 28, 2013". All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Town of Latah. The Bidder shall guarantee the total Bid price for a period of 60 calendar days from the date of Bid opening. The Town of Latah reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities in the bidding process. The Agreement will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it may best serve the interest of the Town of Latah Informational copies of maps, plans and specifications are on file for inspection at the Town of Latah City Hall in Latah, Washington, and the chapter offices of the Associated General Contractors of America.
