NO. _______ BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF WHITWORTH UNIVERSITY FOR A FRANCHISE TO CONSTRUCT, OPERATE AND MAINTAIN UNIVERSITY INFRASTRUCTURE IN, OVER, ALONG AND UNDER COUNTY RIGHT-OF-WAYS IN SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of Spokane County, Washington will hold a public hearing on: TUESDAY, MAY 23, 2017 AT 5:30 P.M. or as soon as possible thereafter in the Spokane County Commissioner's Hearing Room Spokane County Public Works Building, lower level 1026 West Broadway Avenue Spokane, WA 99260 NOTICE IS GIVEN that Whitworth University has filed for a Franchise to operate and maintain various infrastructures within Spokane County roads, highways and rights of way, more particularly described below. Said infrastructure includes but is not limited by the facilities described in an Agreement between Spokane County and Whitworth University dated June 14, 2016 and authorized by Resolution No. 2016-0453. Other infrastructure included in the application include but are not limited by telecommunication facilities, water lines, electrical lines, landscaping, lighting and signage., more particularly described as follows: Hawthorne Road - That portion of Hawthorne Road: bounded on the west by the east right- of-way line of Waikiki Road and bounded on the east by the west right-of-way line of US395/Division Street. Located within Section 18, Township 26 North, Range 43 East, W.M., Spokane County, Washington. The purpose for the public hearing will be for the Board to consider public testimony for or against granting of said Franchise. All meetings and hearings will be conducted in facilities that are accessible to all members of the public. Additional information with regard to the accessibility of the Public Works Building, Commissioners' Hearing Room, or notification of an ADA accommodation should be made to Ginna Vasquez, Clerk of the Board, at (509) 477-2265.
