Bid Proposals shall be on forms furnished by the Architect. Bid security by a qualified surety in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid amount shall be submitted with the understanding that if bid is accepted, Bidder will enter into a formal contract with Liberty School District No. 362 in accordance with the form of agreement and that the required Performance Bond and Payment Bond will be provided. Bids on Public Works. Every invitation to bid on a contract that is expected to cost in excess of one hundred thousand dollars for the construction, alteration or repair of any public building or public work of the state or a state agency or municipality as defined under RCW 39.04.010 an institution of higher education as defined under RCW 28B.10.016, or a school district shall require each bidder to submit as part of the bid, the names of heating, ventilation and air conditioning and plumbing subcontractors as described in Chapter 18.106 TCW, and electrical as described in Chapter 19.28 RCW with whom the bidder, if awarded the contract, will subcontract for performance of the work designated on the list to be submitted with the bid. Failure to name such subcontractors shall render the bidder’s bid non-responsive and, therefore, void.
Mandatory 15% apprentice labor hours of the total hours are a requirement of the construction contract. Bidders may contact the Department of Labor and Industries Apprenticeship Section, to obtain information on available apprenticeship programs.
