Wenatchee School District No. 246 Washington Elementary School Replacement and Special Education/Early Childhood Learning Center Modernization project GC/CM Services Request for Qualifications Response Date: August 15, 2014, 1:00 PM (PDT) The Wenatchee School District No. 246 is requesting written statements of qualifications (SOQ) from firms interested in providing General Contractor/ Construction Manager (GC/CM) services for the construction of the Washington Elementary School Replacement, and Modernization of the Special Education/Early Childhood Learning Center project, located on the same site, at 1401 Washington St. Wenatchee, WA. 98801. The alternate public works contracting procedure authorized in RCW 39.10 will be utilized for this procurement. The project has a Maximum Allowable Construction Cost (MACC) of $22,431,089 dollars. The Washington Elementary School Replacement will take the current 49,000 square foot elementary school, and replace the structures providing a modern functional school. The replace- ment includes: Administrative Areas, increased classroom, activity wing, specialty rooms. The Special Education/Early Childhood Learning Center (SPED/ECLC) built in 1958, shares the WES site. This facility will undergo a complete modernization to include Updates to meet current building codes. The construction will take place while both buildings are occupied and shall be phased to minimize disruption to student and staff during the school year. Schematic design is scheduled to be complete September 19, 2014. Construction is anticipated to be accomplished from June 1, 2015 to October 3, 2016. The project will follow the Washington State Sustainable Schools Protocol (WSSP) and reporting requirements. The GC/CM will participate in providing design, construction and administrative support to include the District’s WSSP submittal to OPSI. The Architect for the project is TCF Architecture, of Tacoma.
