City of Spokane Wastewater Management Department Industrial Pretreatment Program To Whom It May Concern: Issuance of a Wastewater Discharge Permit is proposed for Fairchild Air Force Base. This is in compliance with the provisions of the General Pretreatment Regulations, 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 403. These regulations are authorized by the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, also known as the Clean Water Act, as amended (33 United States Code 1251 et seq). This permit is also regulated by Washington State Waste Discharge Permit, Washington Administrative Code (WAC 173-216), under provisions of Revised Code of Washington (RCW 90.42). The Spokane Municipal Code regulates the facility's wastewater, specifically Chapter 13.03A Pretreatment. Fairchild Air Force Base Fairchild Air Force Base, WA 99011-3000 The City of Spokane proposes to issue a new permit to the above listed applicant that allows a wastewater discharge subject to limitations. These limitations may require the installation of treatment and monitoring facilities with compliance schedules, and other necessary conditions to carry out the provisions of municipal, state and federal law. The proposed limitations, schedules, and conditions are tentative. Interested persons are invited to submit written comments regarding the proposed permit.
