Public Notice of Draft Wastewater Discharge Permit:
Spokane County Environmental Services proposes to reissue a Wastewater Discharge Permit to Mica Landfill, located at 7810 S. Hidden Hollow Rd. This is in compliance with the Spokane County Pretreatment Program.
The Monthly Average Flow Limit is regulated not to exceed 78,000 gallons per production day. The Daily Maximum Flow shall not exceed 148,000 gallons per day. Regulated flows are discharged via the Spokane Valley Interceptor to Spokane County Regional Water Reclamation Facility and, at times, City of Spokane Riverside Park Water Reclamation Facility (Publicly Owned Treatment Works or POTWs).
Spokane County proposes to renew the permit to the above listed applicant allowing waste- water discharges subject to limitations. These limitations may require the installation of treatment facilities, schedules of compliance, and other conditions necessary to carry out the provisions of municipal, state, and federal law. The proposed limitations, schedules, and conditions are tentative.
Public Notice of Draft will be published on September 8, and September 15, 2017 in The Spokesman-Review to inform the public that a draft permit and fact sheet are available for review. Interested persons are invited to submit written comments regarding the draft permit. The draft permit, fact sheet, and related documents are available for inspection and copying between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, at the office listed below.
